🏠 External Wall Painting – Our Process
We take pride in delivering a high-quality, long-lasting finish when painting the exterior walls of your property. Our process is designed to enhance both the appearance and durability of your home, while protecting it from the elements.
🔧 1. Surface Preparation
- Inspection: We begin with a full assessment of the external walls to identify any cracks, flaking paint, damp patches, or structural issues.
- Cleaning: All surfaces are manually cleaned to remove dirt, algae, moss, and loose paint.
- Repairs: Cracks and holes are filled using weatherproof exterior filler. Damaged render or masonry is repaired to ensure a smooth, stable surface.
- Sanding & Scraping: Any remaining loose paint is scraped off, and surfaces are sanded to promote adhesion.
🧱 2. Protection & Masking
- We carefully mask windows, doors, fixtures, and surrounding areas to prevent overspray or drips.
- Ground coverings are laid to protect driveways, patios, and garden features.
🎨 3. Priming & Undercoating
- Where necessary, we apply a high-quality primer or stabilising solution to seal porous surfaces and improve paint adhesion.
- For previously unpainted or chalky surfaces, an appropriate primer or stabilising agent may be used to seal the area and ensure uniform coverage and colour depth.
🖌️ 4. Painting
- We use premium-grade exterior masonry paint or specialist coatings tailored to the surface type (e.g. brick, render, pebble dash).
- Paint is applied using brushes, rollers, depending on the surface and access.
- Multiple coats are applied as needed to achieve a consistent, weather-resistant finish.
🌦️ 5. Finishing Touches
- Final inspection ensures all areas are evenly coated and no spots are missed.
- Masking is removed, and all work areas are cleaned and tidied.
- Gutters, downpipes, and other external features may be painted or cleaned to match the refreshed look.
